Samuel Aiwerioghene is a Danish painter of Nigerian origin, but currently lives and work between Paris and Copenhagen.
He works in the field of figurative painting, where he explores portraiture and composition.
Aiwerioghene describes his work as an ongoing dialogue between people in his life, people in the past and people of his imagination.
His work has been explained as an observation of everyday life.

Aiwerioghene is painting people in everyday moments of happiness, companionship and solitude. But they are not portraits. He works from his imagination, photos and several sources - and to him it is about freeing it up from interpretation so that the viewer can engage with the paintings on a very direct level.
